Xiaomi Mi5 specs: Xiaomi is launching Mi 5 and Mi 5 plus

#Xiaomi has been well-received in the China market for its mobile phones and gadgets, even being dubbed the "#Apple of China." The company is slowly expanding and strengthening its customers to other Asian regions to compete and increase its market base. Along with the expansion, the company is also expected to launch its latest flagship device, #Mi5 and a Mi 5 Plus.

In terms of its specifications, Mi 5 is expected to come in a 5.2-inch Quad HD display resolution. It will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 along with a 3GB RAM or 4GB RAM and a 32GB or 64GB internal storage. In terms of camera, it is anticipated to come with a 16 megapixel rear shooter and an impressive 13 megapixels front shooter that is good for video calls. Mi 5 is said to come with 3,000 mAh to 3,200 mAh battery with its famous option of quick charging from 0% to 30%. Along with this, the device is expected to come with Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system, with the device encased in Gorilla Glass 4. Price-wise, it is anticipated to retail at around $385.

Meanwhile, the Mi 5 Plus is expected to come in a 5.6-inch display at 2k Ultra HD Screen. The device is rumored to be powered with 64-bit octacore in a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset along with a 4GB RAM and an option of 32GB, 64GB, or 128GB internal storage. In terms of camera, there are speculations that Mi 5 will come with ISOCELL powered 20.7 megapixels rear shooter and an 8 megapixel front shooter. Since the 20.7 megapixel has already been rumored for Mi 4 but did not carry it, it is highly likely that the next flagship will have it. For its battery capacity, Mi 5 plus is anticipated to have 3,550 mAh, while for its price, the handset is speculated to be priced at $399. Both Mi 5 and Mi 5 Plus are water resistant with a rating of IP67, meaning it can endure one meter deep of water in 30 minutes.

Earlier expected in July and then in August, no official release date has been pinned down and fans have been becoming restless over its launch date. However, new rumors indicate that both devices will be launched in November this year. If the rumored specifications and features are correct, both devices are worth waiting for.
