We have been seeing a lot of repeated questions on various issues. So here we are to answer your queires regarding those frequently asked question with their answers.
Q: In which country you can purchase Mi 4i?
A. Currently, we have India, Singapore, Indonesia and Malaysia.
Q: How many colors of Mi 4i are available?
A: Currently only white version is available. The other color options are black, sky blue, yellow and pink. However the availability is still not confirmed.
Q: Why my RAM decreases to 400MB?
A: MIUI is heavy with all the customization all you can think of. The RAM utilized is for better performance and is readily available if any other app requires.
Q: Why does Mi 4i heat during heavy operation?
A: For a device running on SD 615 with clock speed of 1.7 GHz it'snormal. You can say Mi 4i back becomes a little warm. Mainly we can notice this while playing games or even while using benchmarking apps like Antutu benchmark, Vellamo, 3D Storm, etc. However with every upcoming updates it will heat less as it will get more and more optimized.
Q: Is there any official developer ROM (weekly update) for Mi 4i? How long does it take for stable ROM to update?
A: The developer ROM version is not yet available for Mi 4i, but will be available soon in downloads section on MIUI English forum. Usually it takes 1 to 2 months for Stable ROM to update. You can get update via OTA (when receiving notification) and find full changelog in the forum.
Q: How to install custom recovery on Mi 4i via fastboot?
A: Custom recoveries are still unavailable for Mi 4i. Stay tuned for same.
Q: Push Notification not working?
A: Make sure you set Whatsapp as auto start in the permission tab, To do this goto Security app > Permissions > Auto start. (this applies to all messaging app which you want it to run on background) Still doesn't work? Pin and lock the apps on recent apps tray.
Q: Need Root for Mi4i?
A: Native Root is still unavailable for Mi 4i. However as soon as it is available we will have it here on the forum. So stay tuned.
Q: Official screenguard and Cover availability?
A: You can find the back covers at Mi.com. However Screen guard is still unavailable.
Q: Custom ROM availability?
A: We don’t support custom ROM’s officially, however there isn’t any yet out there which we can refer to.
Q: System launcher has stopped or Random apps are crashing in the background?
A: May be of some issue with system apps. Would suggest to do a cache wipe through recovery and check. To go to recovery go to updater app >options> reboot to recovery > select language> Wipe and reset >Wipe cache.
Q: How can I use IVR Feature?
A: IVR feature is still in implementation and testing phase will be rolled out soon. Stay tuned.
